Forty years of putting people to work
Lewis-Burnett started in a single Little Rock office with two recruiters and a phone list. We've since placed more than 12,000 people, and we still answer the phone.
We offer a hand up, not a handout.

Where it started
The day we cut the ribbon on our Little Rock office, neighbors, employer partners, and city leaders stood on the sidewalk with us. That turnout set the tone for everything since: this is a community operation, and the people we place are our neighbors.
Four decades later, we have downsized, yet the same promise holds — a hand up, not a handout.
Our mission
We believe a good job changes a household, and a good hire changes a business. Our work sits between those two facts. We invest the time to understand what an employer actually needs on the floor, and what a candidate actually needs from a paycheck and a schedule — then we make the match that holds.
That means turning down work when we can't staff it well, telling employers when a pay band won't attract the talent they want, and staying in touch long after the first day.

The people behind the mission
Family, friends, and partners who have carried this work forward alongside our founder.

Latonya Burnett
Daughter & Right Hand
My daughter and my right hand in the work of Lewis-Burnett Employment Finders. Latonya has always been a very hard worker who stood beside me through many challenging seasons of this journey. She worked side-by-side with me as we helped individuals prepare for employment, supported families in need, and continued the mission even when resources were limited. Her dedication, strength, and willingness to serve others played an important role in helping Lewis-Burnett Employment Finders grow and reach so many people. I am deeply grateful for her commitment, her support, and the love she has shown through her work in this ministry and mission.

Yolanda Burnett
Next Generation of Leadership
My granddaughter, Yolanda Burnett, represents the next generation of leadership, strength, and commitment in our family. Watching her grow into a business owner and a confident young woman has been one of my greatest joys. She continues to carry forward the values of hard work, determination, and service that have always been part of our family's mission through Lewis-Burnett Employment Finders. Her success reflects her dedication, vision, and belief in creating opportunities for the future. I am very proud of the woman she has become and the example she continues to set for others.

Tommy Mooney
Early Program Partner
Tommy Mooney was one of the individuals who was sent to me during the early years of Lewis-Burnett Employment Finders and later became an important part of the work we were doing. He worked alongside me and supported the mission of helping people prepare for employment and move forward in their lives. His willingness to assist others and stand with the program during key moments of growth made a meaningful difference in the success of Lewis-Burnett Employment Finders. I remain grateful for his support and the role he played in strengthening the work of the organization.

Honoring McAfee

Multi-Emmy-Award-Winning humanitarian, visionary, and catalyst for positive change. After reading an article about Lewis-Burnett Employment Finders, he became one of our strongest supporters and a true friend to the mission of helping people help themselves. Through his compassion, leadership, and dedication to humanity, he has worked tirelessly to create change in communities across the nation. McAfee played an important role in advancing mental health reform in Mississippi and later joined activists, attorneys, and community leaders in helping shape historic deed theft legislation in New York to protect vulnerable families from fraud and property loss. His willingness to stand up for justice and speak for those whose voices are often unheard has touched countless lives. Lewis-Burnett Employment Finders is honored to recognize McAfee for his continued encouragement, generosity, and unwavering belief in the work we do for the community.
